Notebook tutorials

The notebooks below are rendered into the documentation with ``nbsphinx``.
By default, the docs build uses the outputs already saved in each notebook. To
pre-execute notebooks during a local or CI docs build, set
``NBSPHINX_EXECUTE=always`` before invoking Sphinx.
